Farming is basically zoning into an area, kill all monsters (or a particular kind of monster), pickup their drops, zone out, sell drops, zone back in, and repeat over and over again.
Most popular farming are griffons/minotaurs/hydras @ Augury Rock, UW, SF, FoW, ettins @ Kryta, New Tombs. People tend to farm for different reasons: 1. good drops (to sell on); 2. gold; 3. Collector materials; 4. Items to salvage (e.g. for crafting material, runes, etc); 4. Weapon upgrades; 5. the challenge; But farming is really for making money. 55Hp Monk is the most popular build for farming. For more info. do a search on "farming". Basically, by creating a build designed to easily defeat specific monsters in a single area, you can make it so easy to repeatedly kill them and get their loot that it's no more dangerous than raising soybeans.
I say it boils down to using a specialized build against a known quantity in order to speed up the rate at which you kill, or the reduce the number of people involved (and ideally, both). Most team farm builds are smaller than your 8 man limit, usually between four and six men, so that loot is only split 4 ways, instead of 8...effectively doubling the returns for each member of that party. |

You are all wrong. Its having a few hundred acres of land, cattle and a barn. Every morning at sunrise you drag your ass out of bed, plow the fields, milk the cows and feed the chickens all before lunch. After lunch you repeat till sunset when you get to eat again, and go to bed.
